Attend this film and find out how your voting rights will be impacted by the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) passed by Congress in 2002 to address the problems that surfaced in the 2000 election. Gone are the lever action voting machines which in some cases date back to the 1930s. Enter the computer-age voting machines which all of us will soon encounter.
Invisible Ballots summarizes the history of election systems and will demonstrate the pros and cons of two new voting systems in a clear and forceful manner.
The film is highly relevant to New York since our appointed county election commissioners will choose a new voting machine system in the very near future.
Their decision will impact voters for a long time.
