TWO IMPORTANT EVENTS IN THE AREA THIS WEEK

Events this week include the Peace Vigil on Wednesday evening, November 16 at 6 pm in Sherrill at the Gazeebo. A list of Iraq war dead will be read. Bring a candle and a friend.

Friday night, November 18, there will be a free showing of the movie, "The High Cost of Low Prices," better known as the Walmart movie, starting at 7 pm. the movie lasts about an hour and a half. We hope to have a bit of discussion over coffee and doughnuts afterward. Now, we don't expect that all the thousands of Walmarts across the country will go away. But is there such a thing as "conscious capitalism?" Can Walmart be pressured to be more fair to its employees and its competitors? We'll decide together! The movie will be shown at my house, 8037 Herder Road, Blossvale, 1/2 mile up Herder Road from Rte. 49. RSVP 337-6463.
